Our neighborhood was built in 1965 -1967. The homes in Beatties Ford Park are ranch style homes, many have had additions. Trinity Park has ranch styles and tri-level homes. Families in our community consider themselves "One Family". Most of the children that grew up in this community are still very close. They come back to visit some of their elderly neighbors and friends. Several of them have moved back to help care for their aging parents, others have moved back to live in their childhood home. In late summer or early fall they have a neighborhood picnic. It is like a Neighborhood /Family reunion.
Spanning over 140 acres, the park offers a variety of recreational amenities, including walking trails, fishing ponds, playgrounds, and sports facilities such as soccer fields and basketball courts. The park is known for its serene natural beauty, with lush greenery, open fields, and shaded picnic areas, making it a popular destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and community gatherings. Additionally, Hornet's Nest Park is home to the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex, which hosts numerous local sporting events and tournaments throughout the year.
